IMPORTANT Information
Regarding Your CD Order
You have worked very hard to get this point of ordering
your Duplicated or Replicated CD package. The following
tips are designed to help ensure that you do not make
some of the most common mistakes when processing a CD
order. The 2 most important items are your Master CD and
your Artwork. Together these can make or break your
project. There are also some other items to consider
which we have covered below. Please take the time to
read thru thoroughly!
Master CD
Item#1
We Duplicate/Replicate EXACTLY what you send in. It is
critical that you check your master before you send it
to make sure it is set up ‘exactly’ as you want it to be
duplicated/replicated. We HIGHLY recommend that you
listen to the entire CD from start to finish and check
for any potential problems. Make sure you review the
‘actual’ CD you are sending in to us. Don’t make a copy
of your Master and just send it without listening.
Item #2
The Master CD we receive can often have data or other
errors that will affect the Replication of your disc. We
recommend that you use a high quality media such as a
‘Gold’ disc. Use media that is termed Grade-A media. If
you are unsure, you can ask your local disc store what
they recommend.
Item #3
Make sure you have completely filled out the
Intellectual Property Rights form to submit with your
order. You must either own the licensing rights for the
content of your Master CD or have obtained permission to
replicate the contents of your CD. This also applies to
‘samples’. You cannot have unlicensed samples on your
Master CD.
Item #4
We highly recommend that you always keep a backup copy
of your Master CD with you in a safe place. CDs can be
lost during shipment so it is critical that you always
have access to another copy of your Master if needed.
Artwork
Item #1
The artwork is the representation of your project and
should be checked very carefully for typos before you
send it in. While our design team will look over your
project to make sure it is set to our template
specifications, they will not read the contact for
spelling or other errors. Also make sure your track list
on your artwork matches the song list you have on your
Master CD.
Item #2
We print what you send in. Just like the Master CD, the
quality of what you will get back will be determined by
the quality of what you send in. Artwork should be set
to a high resolution of 300 dpi or higher following our
template specifications. More info on our template specs
can be found on our
Templates Page.
Item #3
Keep in mind when doing your artwork that the colors
that print on the inserts and traycards may differ
slightly from the color you see on the computer screen
when you are designing or proofing your artwork. The
resolution on your computer screen is a different visual
presentation of your artwork and may not represent
exactly what will be printed. The only way to be SURE of
what will be printed is to order a Hard Copy Proof. A
hard copy proof is $25 plus shipping costs. We will
print a sample copy of the actual insert and traycard
and mail it to you before we move to your final print.
If you want a Hard Copy Proof let us know when you first
place your order!
Item #4
It is very important to know that the look of your Disc
may vary from the look of your Insert and/or Traycard.
Color prints differently on varying surfaces such as a
disc surface versus paper surface. Some colors are
affected more than others. It is IMPORTANT to know that
we can never guarantee an exact match.
Item #5
Please indicate with your order if you require a flood
or knock out. If you desire any silver to show thru in
your artwork, we must be notified before you approve the
PDF proof.
Production Time
All replication runs have a standard production time of
14 business days plus ship time. Production time on
small runs of 100-200 CDs is 5-7 business days plus ship
time. We do have RUSH available if needed. NOTE that Day
1 of production does not start until we have all items
on file for your order including your Master CD, Forms,
Approved Artwork and Payment. It is very important to
understand this production time when planning for the
arrival of your CDs.
We highly recommend that you do not schedule any
important dates or release until you have the finished
CDs back in your hands. Production delays are rare but
do happen and there is nothing worse than to have an
important date arrive with no CDs. We do our best to
ship all CDs on time and our record is near perfect,
however, we cannot guarantee production times on any
project at any time. |
